The Curious Case of Keston’s Testicles

Keston was my second Jack Russell terrier. He came into my life due to a chance encounter with a woman called Miriam, whom I met while waiting to have a new tyre fitted in Swansea. It was a few weeks after my beloved Towser had gone to doggy heaven, and I was lost in my misery and started to weep. Miriam asked what was wrong. I sobbed as I told her about Towser, and she said that she had a friend in Oxford who had some tri-colour Jacks ready to be sold.

Towser had died the day before my birthday in May 1999, and we picked up Keston on my mother’s birthday two months later. He was a doggy healer and made the grief from losing Towser at least bearable.

By the time Keston was seven years old, I was much more spiritually aware.  One night, while I was deeply asleep, a spirit helper, whom I believe was Archangel Michael, woke me up. The voice in my head said, “Keston has testicular cancer, and I want you to examine him immediately.”

“I am too tired,” I murmured sleepily. “I will check him in the morning.”

But Michael was adamant. “Wake up and examine him now, you will forget to do it in the morning!” He said sternly.

Not wanting to get up, I reluctantly put my hand on the side of my bed where Keston was sleeping. As soon as he felt my touch, Keston rolled over onto his back, enabling me to gently palpate his testes as I had done to so many thousands of my patients over the years. Since I could not feel anything abnormal, I told Michael to stop worrying me. But he insisted I was wrong. “Examine him again,” he ordered. I obeyed. But still, I could not feel anything amiss. Michael continued to nag me, so I repeated the process a third time. And on this attempt, I detected a small area in Keston’s right testicle where I intuitively felt the energy of cancer. Suddenly, I was wide awake.

The next day, I took Keston to my vet and told him that I thought my dog had testicular cancer. I showed him where the lesion was, but he could not find anything abnormal. He was technically correct since, to my fingers, the cancer did not feel like an actual mass but more like an indescribable but nonetheless abnormal vibration. How could I tell a left-brained vet that the previous night, an archangel had telepathically told me about the cancer? I wondered.

My vet was very professional. “Keep an eye on the area and bring him back if you are concerned,” he advised. So I did, and when I returned a few months later, he apologetically agreed that there was a lump. Keston’s tumour was removed the following day.

A few years later, when Keston was suffering from an unrelated terminal illness and had to be put to sleep, he saw the same vet. Still apologetic, the vet recalled how I had picked up Keston’s cancer several months before he did. On this occasion, I told him how I had known, and explained that he had no reason to apologise since I had angelic connections. To his credit, my vet understood.  He is certainly my kind of vet.

It seems the Spirit realm even cares about our pets, and as you will see from the next encounter, I believe our late pets still care about us.
